Chapter 1
CH-1 When I opened the door, I called out, "I'm home," out of habit. There was no response, as usual, but I was already used to it. After all, Yi Tian wasn’t always here, and even when he was, he never responded. I dragged my heavy suitcase across the threshold and into the foyer. Exhausted from a grueling week-long business trip to A City, I had shadowed the manager as we visited different factories each day. The evenings were spent wining and dining with the bosses, and I often found myself returning to the hotel late at night, feeling queasy and disoriented. I would spend long, restless hours in the bathroom, not knowing when I would finally succumb to sleep. After several days without proper rest, I was exhausted.
